External Competitions

Our school places strong emphasis on providing students with opportunities to showcase their talents. As such, students are encouraged to take part in various external activities and competitions. Through these platforms, students have the opportunity to interact and learn from peers from different schools, while building confidence and developing their skills.

Chinese Text Recitation Competition for Primary and Secondary Schools

To strengthen students’ Chinese reading and recitation skills, spark interest and enthusiasm for learning Chinese, and deepen their understanding of texts. Our school sent students to participate in the Chinese Text Recitation Competition for Primary and Secondary Schools organised by the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning. Our students also benefited greatly from participating in online recitation guidance sessions conducted by the Singapore Chinese Language Teachers’ Recitation Arts Association.

2024 North Zone Primary and Secondary Schools Speech Competition

Students from our school took part in this year’s North Zone Speech Competition, where they shared their learning experiences through three-minute recorded speeches. Teo Suan Ghee(4S) from Primary 4 delivered an outstanding performance in the preliminary round and was awarded the Potential Award.

2023 Chinese Text Recitation Competition for Primary and Secondary Schools

Our school’s students participated in this year’s North Zone Speech Competition, where they shared their learning and life experiences through recorded speeches. They spoke with sincerity and confidence, delivered outstanding performances, and achieved excellent results.

2022 International Primary School Computer Creative Writing Competition

To provide students with opportunities to develop their creative thinking through online composition writing, our students took part in the International Primary School Computer Creative Writing Competition. Students from countries like Taiwan, China (including Hong Kong), Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia also participated in this competition.

Mao Ruihan from 5 Solidarity demonstrated strong creativity in the Story Relay and Picture-Based Writing categories. Showcasing clear thinking and originality, Ruihan stood out among numerous participants and was awarded both the National Silver Award and the International Silver Award.
