FBL to Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden- Primary One
FBL is part of the Social Studies curriculum where students explore, construct new knowledge and make connections to the topic being studied. Through this inquiry and authentic learning experience, students learn about the ways to show care for our environment and to develop an appreciation for the places around them.
FBL to National Orchid Garden – Primary Two
Our Primary Two pupils went for their first Field-Based Learning (FBL) to National Orchid Garden. FBL is part of the Social Studies curriculum where students explore, construct new knowledge and make connections to the topic being studied. Through this inquiry and authentic learning experience, students learn about our National Symbols and develop an appreciation for the diverse communities in Singapore.
MBL to Geylang Serai Heritage Gallery – Primary Three
Our Primary Three pupils embarked on their first Museum-Based learning to Geylang Serai Heritage Gallery. Through a guided tour of the vibrant Geylang Serai Market, they explored traditional Malay Kampung houses, local cuisines, clothing and spices. The students also discovered the rich history of Geylang Serai and gained deeper insights into the architectural heritage and cultural practices of the Malay-Muslim community in Singapore.
MBL to Kreta Ayer Heritage Gallery – Primary Four
Our Primary Four pupils visited the Kreta Ayer Heritage Gallery as part of their Social Studies Museum-Based Learning experience. At the gallery, they explored the rich history of the Kreta Ayer area and learnt about key Chinese cultural art forms such as Chinese opera, Nanyin music, Chinese puppetry, calligraphy and tea appreciation through photos, artefacts and stories that reflect the community's heritage and traditions.
MBL to Indian Heritage Centre – Primary Five
Our Primary Five pupils embarked on their Museum-Based Learning to Indian Heritage Centre, as part of their Social Studies curriculum on "Life in Southeast Asia Today", students explored how cultures and traditions connect countries in the region. Through engaging exhibits, students explored how festivals, traditional attire, music and food reflect Indian heritage and connect cultures across Southeast Asia, contributing to Singapore’s multicultural identity.
The experience deepened their appreciation of shared heritage and cultural diversity, bringing classroom learning to life while nurturing respect and cross-cultural understanding.
MBL to Asian Civilisations Museum – Primary Six
Our Primary Six pupils explored the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) as part of their Social Studies curriculum on "Legacies of Ancient Civilisations". Through artefacts and interactive exhibits from ancient China, India and Southeast Asia, students examined how early civilisations made significant contributions in areas such as writing systems, trade networks, art and architecture. They discovered how these achievements continue to shape societies and influence our world today.
The visit also encouraged them to think critically, ask questions, and appreciate the importance of heritage preservation in understanding our shared Asian identity.
